DORAL CITY A FAMILY PLACE TO LIVE

Years ago, Doral City and its nearby Airport West area used to be called the industrial heart of an international business group of people. But surprisingly this city exceeded Coral Gables and Miami downtown. The reason of this amazing result has to do with residential expansion. The influx of young families looking for business opportunities made them base their lives in Doral City. They had to find first a beautiful home to live and at the same time schools for their children, a play ground space with activities for kids, entertainment, shopping areas and a lot more. All this together worked out successfully and brought more young families to live in Doral. Some people had their homes in Coral Gables and while visiting Doral they just fell in love with the city and tried it as a new place to relax themselves on weekends. These weekend visitors as well as residents find Doral as a very family oriented city and are encouraging others to visit it more often.

A BIG HEADACHE THAT MAY STOP SOON

Traffic is a big headache for everyone in any part of the world. But this is Miami and everybody talks about traffic and how heavy the way through Doral/Airport West is. Florida Department of Transportation is planning to open a new exit off since they realized that in five years the city will count with 5000 more families based in Doral.
This project will bring the relief everyone in Miami expects and traffic headaches will be in the past.

MONEY BATTLE FOR DORAL NAME

After seven years of barriers to becoming a city, Doral residents will have to pass another obstacle before getting to the point. The fact is that MeriStar Company is in possession of Doral name for using it in Hotels and Resorts. The Company asked Miami-Dade County to sign an agreement restraining use of Doral name for the City. To add Doral Golf Resort & Spa have an agreement signed with MeriStar Company that consents them the use of Doral name. However and if the projected agreement were signed, the city will have to pay $300 monthly to MeriStar Company for using Doral name.
